Where is your pottery made?
- Matthew Aspey designs and produces all of the pottery for Almost Dirt in Carlton, OR.
Why should I choose ceramic over glass?
- Ceramic is a natural insulator. The thicker the walls are the longer your beverage stays cool.
- Unique textures and patterns inside of cups and mugs that are hard or impossible to find in glass.
- Ceramic Growlers are opaque and completely blocks out light, helping to prevent beer from getting skunked.
How to clean your Pottery?
- After you are done using your pottery fill with light dish soap and hot water. Let it soak for a few minutes and rinse.
- Scrub gently with a bottle brush or sponge when necessary.
- Dry upside down.
- Cups, Mugs, Bowls, and Plates are dishwasher safe. It is not recommended to place Growlers in the dishwasher.
Can I bottle condition in the growlers?
- The growlers are not intended for bottle conditioning. Please condition at your own risk.

How long do the Growlers keep beer fresh for?
- 4-6 days- if closed immediately and placed back in the fridge. In some cases even longer.
Can you use the Growlers for other liquids?
- Yes! The growlers are great for tea, root beer, kombucha, wine, water or any kind of liquid that is safe to drink.
Can you personalize or customize my pottery?
- Yes! We can personalize pottery with custom stencil graphics, there’s many styles and patterns to choose from just looking in the portfolio. However if you don’t see what you like. New ideas, concepts, and suggestions are welcome. You can make those suggestions through the contact form. We will work with you to design a piece that you will enjoy.
What happens if I receive a broken pottery upon shipment?
- Please notify Almost Dirt within 2 days of your pottery arriving broken. We will replace it with a new one or offer you a refund.
Do you ship out of the country?
- Yes! We ship all over the world. Additional Shipping charges may apply.
How long will it take for my Pottery to arrive?
- Your order will ship within 2 weeks of placing your order, unless otherwise specified. Shipping times vary but to put it in perspective it takes 7 – 9 days for pottery to reach the east coast if you choose ground shipping.
